Cant get back encrypted data

Hey there,
I have some files in windows me that were encrypted and now I want to have access to these files on windows xp but cant do that any help please?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,
The only way I know to encrypt data en windows me is to compress the data using winzip and then putting a password. I guess the file has .zip as extension? Then the simplest thing to do is to install a software called winrar and when decompressing the data just feed in the password and after that you should be able to have access to these files.
