Green light but pc off

Hey there,
Encounting some problems with my pc those days. Sometimes when I switch it on I would get only the green light on but the red would not and nothing on the screen. I have to switch it off manually and then restarting it again and then the problem is solved anyone can help me?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
This error is coming surely from your motherboard may be shortly you will have to change it but for the time being you can use it with just this problem but one day it will not start up at all. I once encountered the same error as yours and this happened to me.

Try to boot ur system with a different RAM.It may be a RAM problem.In simpler words try a diiferent ram.
