My Computer Did Not Detect My USB

Hello,
I inserted my SanDisk cruzer micro 4.0GB. The orange light on for 1.5sec then it went out. what could be the problem???

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.9

Hi,
change the port and see if it works.
you may try the pen drive in another computer to check if it works.
if it does not, then the pen drive is faulty.
get it replaced or return the pen drive to where you bought it..
