No audio output device installed error

Hello,
i have a 2 month old compaq laptop.i got a few problems with my new ( 2 month old) laptop... the volume had been working until today. the little speaker in the task bar has a red X on it and when i pass my mouse over it it says "No Audio Output Device Installed" but i dont understand why it would say that as it had been working before today and for the last 2 months. it tells me that the Nvidea HDMI output / Audio Is not plugged in ??? can ya help me plz

Try System Restore to the last point where ur Audio device was working http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/...
