Lost multimedia audio controller

Hello,
ive lost my multimedia audio controller adter reinstalling my operating system...i tried to download some drivers but it is not working.i dont know how to recognized which kind of sound device driver to install..it is affecting to not run some of major applications such as media player etc..my motherboard was coded P4XFCU,.... intel (r) pentium (r).thankx for ur help...im gonna expect it soon..

Hi I had lost my multimedia audio controller after a fresh install of xp on my presario M2000 and found that if you install the audio driver for a Compaq Presario M2245AU it fixes the problem for all those who need to know GL.
