Laptop keyboard and mice doesn't work at all

Hello,
I am not exactly sure what had happened last time when I used my laptop, but the day after than I turn my Compaq brand computer on. I found out that my laptop keyboard and mice doesn't work at all. I do not know how to solve this problem. The only way that I can type is using on screen keyboard and using a USB mice. Would anyone one here give me a suggestion?

Hi,
it may be that the ps/2 socket has blown out.
you should connect a USB keyboard to trhe system to be able to type.
or it may be that the ps/2 settings have been disabled.
you can check the settings by entering the BIOS.
but for this you need to use the keyboard. so, get a USB keyboard.

Thanks very much flexup, Jin problem was sloved. I went to read the tips from your block so I just took my laptop battery off and put it back them my keyboard and mice's suddenly working. Thanks again. You are my "Hero"
