Dell wireless keyboard not functioning

Hello,
I have dell PC dimension 3100 for last 3 years with a wireless keyboard and mouse. the receiver is common for both. since last evening after switching on the PC, the kyeboard is not responding. i changed the batteries and also tried to a manual connect with the receiver but no response. the mouse is working fine.,

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0
