Can't access laptop!

I have toshiba. Can't get past blue screen. I turn on splash screen comes on then goes to blue screen & error message. Says PC ran into problem needs to restart & gathering information will restart when done. I can't afford new computer just started work. Can you please help?

Your computer might need a new hard disk and a reinstall of Windows. Since these errors indicate a damaged OS. These repairs might cost more a a new laptop.

Thank you so much but I saw some information shortly after posting question and was lucky enough to get it up and running again!!!
