Counter Strike Source Speed problem

Hello, i have a problem with counter strike source
I have the requirements : minimum and the requirements good to play. But when i start the game, it becomes slow. Only 5 or 6 seconds by game are fast. can someone help me?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Brother
set the video resolution in options in the game
set it to the lowest then u can low the pc resolution too in desktop
right click in any side of the screen the click in properties then go to configuration
and set low the resolution and the color quality the game will work much better
