I own a asus lamborghini vx7 laptop, bought it brand new about a week ago. it was working fine until the screen started to go blank on start up and lose display. the display eventually works after turning it off and on several times, but the problem re occurs after a short while of being on it, it loses display again.

i've tried a few fixes such as unplugging everything and holding the power button for 60 secs, etc. which works after trying it several times, and only as a temporary fix.

please help.

Hi Tofreaku,

It looks like a video issue. Please try to boot the computer to "Safe Mode with Networking" and check. To boot to the Safe Mode with Networking:

1. Power on/restart the computer and start hitting the F8 key as soon as the initial startup logo appears.
2. Advance Boot Menu will appear. If the menu doesn't appear once, repeat step 1 again.
3. Select "Safe Mode with Networking" and hit Enter.

If the video is good in "Safe Mode with Networking" try to download and update the video drivers from ASUS's website.

Do reply with results.

Hi Tofreaku,

The steps I have provided are valid for the versions of Windows Operating System up to Windows 7 only. Do you have Windows 8 installed in your laptop?

Hi Tofreaku,

If the F8 key is not able to show the "Advanced Boot Menu", try to connect a USB keyboard and try to hit F8 at startup.

Hi Tofreaku,

The suggested steps are good for Windows 7 Operating System as it is not working for your laptop you should now contact the manufacturer as your laptop is brand new.
