Problem ecountered in my external hard drive! please help :(?Closed

Hello, 
please help me!
im NOT GREAT with computer stuffs at all but i will explain it with all i can

So my friend borrowed my hard drive and she said that she just copied movies from it then gave it back to me
when i used it when i get back home, my hard drive is showing in the "computer"
"29.7 gb free of 465 gb" is also being showed up near its icon
the problem is when i am opening my hard drive!
i cannot find anything! all my folders are gone except for one icon
it says " My Passport GoFLex Drive (466GB)" and is a shortcut icon! (my ext. hard drive name is "my passport")

please help me!
everything important is here on my hard drive and i need them so bad!

Hi lessien07,

This issue might have happened because of virus. There is a common problem with external drives, such as a Hard Drive or a Pen Drive, the files turning into shortcuts or files attribute changing to hidden.
