Hello,

While working on my PC, it suddenly rebooted. I didn't think much of it, so after it rebooted, i just continued using it, but then the screen froze, i couldn't move the mouse, not even turn the caps lock lamp on. So i turned of the power supply switch of and on and started the PC, the fans rotate, but the monitor and the keyboard lights don't turn on and no beeps. I tried more time to turn it on, and succeededd once but it only got to some text telling me that CMOS is wrong (the battery for my BIOS went empty) and then froze again like before, and now i cant even get to that text when trying to start.

Does any1 know whats wrong?

Hello,

Try this 1

Reset the CMOS settings.

Turn off your PC and remove the power chord --> Open the cabinet --> Remove

the CMOS battery for 15-30 minutes and then put it back properly. Now plug the

power cord back in and switch ON your PC.

Good Luck

Hello,

If every time your date and time is getting changed without removal of the battery and placing it back then you need to replace your CMOS battery. Its doesn't cost much and its cheap.
Replace the CMOS battery --> Go to BIOS --> Load default settings --> Set the first boot device as "Hard drive" --> Save the settings and exit from the BIOS.
Good Luck

Well, i should change my battery sooner or later, but is that really the cause of why my PC wont boot at all anymore, because the battery ran out maybe a year ago, but my PC wont boot since yesterday

Hello,

CMOS battery plays a key role by saving the CMOS settings. May be some of your settings are gone bad where we need to troubleshoot the process step by step. CMOS battery is cheap, so I don't think of replacing it right now rather than waiting for some other day. Before coming to conclusion regarding the motherboard, try replacing the battery now itself.
OR
You can get a working CMOS battery from other PC for a while and check if you are able to get the display.
Good Luck

I can do that, but before i do that i got an update

i unpluged the PC over the night, and turned it on and it booted and worked for an hour, but then it froze again and it wont boot anymore, just like before.
So maybe something else is the problem?
