Unable to run firefox and opera

Hello,

I had viruses on my computer so formatted my harddisk and installed winXP again. after that i had installed noton 360 then i was trying to install firefox but a massage was displayed on screen that "try other browser IE or Opera -SAM-" after that i had installed opera it worked for 1 day and now it is showing other massage "orkut is banned -SAM-"
pl. help me in this. i have never came across such problem. is there any virus?

Most probably it must have come through your pen drive. Try not to use your pen drive in cybercafe cafe.

Get spy ware terminator.

Shut you computer. Restart on Safe mode ( F8) and then run your spyware terminator. It should take care of that annoying pop up.

This is a w32.USB Worm which is spreading through Pen,USB,Thump disk, and probably this is how you got it.
There is a whole procedure to remove it manually, but from what I know it can now be removed with the new version of Avast antivirus. You can find it here, it's free

If you can't get rid of orkut with Avast, let me know and I will try to tell you the steps you need to remove it by hand
