Firefox - websites not loading

Hello,

I have recently managed to get my laptop infected with spyware, trojans etc. My internet browsers(both IE & Firefox) not only open random popups and sites, but also fail to load certain websites, like facebook, google search(only the front page loads) & isohunt.

The last thing i remember doing is deleting cookies during the sites were being loaded.

Another issue is that these sites work perfectly fine in safe mode, but fail in normal mode.

I have tried loading various spyware and anit-virus but nothing seems to get this spyware out. Also tried deleting all cookies, reinstalling firefox etc.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease help!!!!

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 2.0.0.14

My internet explorer is not opening at the very top of the toolbar, for it has no information next to the logo on the upper left hand corner of the browser. Also, I can not access the drop bar under my google toolbar with all of the information pertaining to adjustments of internet tools. It is not displaying for some strange reason.

I also can not download anything from internet explorer, including another browser.

Can you please help me? I am about to cry.

The same thing is happening with my laptop, i've used anti virus like avg, and it scans infected files in the cookies, and i deleted them, and for a little while the browsers start working, but then the same problem returns, and my cookies are infected once again. Also recently i have been noticing that torrent downloaders like bit lord, and u torrent can't connect to the internet anymore, although i am connected. I just installed McAfee and im running a scan rite now, if that fixes the problem, i'll post again. Until then any advice would be welcome

2)if this doesnt work then u can use proxy sites too for opening these websites
like kpoxy.com

Hi everybody i hve got the permanent solution for this problem .so lets start this:

firstly u hve to download a tool name SDFIX frm the link below---

http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe

and follow these steps:
1. Copy SDFix folder to System’s Root Drive(the drive in which ur window is installed)
2. Restart Windows and press F8. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.
3. Logon in the same account tht u r using now.
4. Confirm that Windows is running on safe mode by clicking the Yes button.
5. go to ur system drive(must be c: drive) and open the SDFIX folder
6. Double-click on RunThis to start SDFix batchfile.
7. On the SDFix startup screen, type Y to proceed.
8. SDFix will start scanning processes, services and files for possible infection.
9. Wait until SDFix finished scanning the whole system
10. After scanning, SDFix will prompt for restart. Press any key to proceed.
11. After restart, logon in ur account to finish the system cleanup. SDFix will show confirmation that the process is already finished. Press any key to proceed.
12. System will display text report about what SDFix found during the process.
13. Logoff and logon to assigned account.

i hope this works for u guyz .......

Hi ravi,

this just isn't working for me i have windows xp home edition.

i've tried going to that site and it wouldn't let me - basically it's part of the virus all these sites where i can download this - well basically it stops me.

so i downloaded the program from another pc and e-mailed it to myself.

i had to rename the file in order to save it as it wouldn't let me save it.

Anyway i tried to run the thing and it simply didn't do anything.

i went into safe mode and administrator - when i did the run thing and clicked yes to allow the program to run - the egg timer showed for about 15 seconds and nothing happened.

I've tried a system restore - but when i've chosen a date - it gets to the next button and won't go any further.

also tried to install a different operating system - but my CD drive isn't being found.

i also downloaded the other exe file from download.com that someone else mentions and had the same issues.

wow - this is a real knightmare - what is this virus i've picked up?

Oh yes i've identified what the virus / trojan is as well - it's called a.exe - there is a dimmed icon on my desktop with this on....

nobody knows how to remove it at this moment it seems!!

Hi, Ravi:

I tried this fix for face book (I have to write FB like that cuz if I don't, I get that server error) not loading and it didn't work. It's the ONLY webpage that I can't get to. I just don't understand it.... Also, no matter what I do, if I type FB all the way out ANY where on a page (even in the search bar in Google), I will get that same error. It seems to be linked more to the WORD than the website. I can access my webpage from a friend's computer tho, so it's not the site,

Any ideas? I'm running XP Pro on a HP laptop...

Thank you!

Yeah prateek's advice went on right.....
there are two DLL's in the comp which disturb the system stability, even I had them;

For knowing what is disturbing ur system check here;
http://i38.tinypic.com/5xo5kz.jpg

these files do not have a fixed name instead they can be any unsequenced line of words like 'adafrwqrwqf' or 'xefafawff' so no need to check that, download spybot and clean ur system, I am 100% sure itll work fine...

The reason for the problem is that iexplore.exe file is virus. so most virus cleaners cannot detect. once you remove from the task manager, you can browse fine.
IEXPLORE.EXE is the only process that is internet explorer, its located in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE all others are likely to be trojans spyware, or viruses, recommend checking that u r using the correct one
search for iexplore.exe and delete all of them. then open IE, windows will ask for installation cd and it will install the correct file. i am not sure if this virus is having some other files elsewhere.
all it does is resides in memory, and blocks firefox and IE

Troop get flock browser and it is just like firefox with improvements. Google's chrome also is immune to the search problem that effects IE, Firefox and Oprah . I made folk my default browser until a fix comes up for vista. If you are running xp you can do the SDfix thing from riva above.

So basically, Iv tried FLock, opera, firefox, Internet explorer, and chrome,
all which fail in opening certain sites. the same site ofc
Iv downloaded many adaware, search bot programs, still the same thing.
I did however find a trojan called trojandnschanger, it may be the cuase but i doubt it as it only tries to redirect you to companies sites.
I am running Vista, so the SDFix dont, work
I am going to try the spybot search and destroy about the only spyware program i havnt run lol
Ill get back to you on that, Also when running karpersky online scanner, the browser would crash at a certain point strange have not figured out why yet tho.
