Laser printer with usb

Hello,

I have an hp laser jet printer (1200) and it used to work via the usb port in the back of my computer. now it does not. i have been to hp site and downloaded the driver (the newest for my printer type) and still cannot get the thing to print... anyone have any sugestions?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Did you try a parallel cable or another USB cable or another computer or even another USB port on the original computer?
If you delete the printer in "Control Panel - Printers" and restart the PC - does the computer detect the printer and ask for a driver disk?
If it still doesn't work after the above actions the printer may be dead.
