My control panel is blank

Hello,
Hi 2 all,when i click on the control panel in start menu;the control panel page is showed but it is blank,that mean it has no icon of:user account,add/remove software,...etc.so what can i do to show up those icon?
Pls help me!

Maybe a virus deleted them. Did you try a Windows restore?

How can i have a window restore ? is Window restore = Window Update ?
i have already tried window update by using the OS cd of DELL which belong with my laptop when i bought it(my laptop: DELL OX5543 ; OS: windowXP), but the control panel is still blank.......what should i do the next? Pls help me...!

Hola desde ayer no me abre el panel de control parece como si se abriera y luego se cierra solo ay alguna forma de recuperar los cpl o algun programa ke te los ponga y no puedo restaurar sistema porque no tengo un punto de restauracion no me deja restaurar ayuda nose ke acer mi sistema es windows vista sp1

Try to download the cpl files from this link http://www.jonmega.com/iceman/sysfiles/download_SP1.php and click Control Pannel Files and download them.extract them to C:\\ Windows\win32.


Then go to run and write : exec joy.cpl (that was an example in my case)
