Wireless connection

Hello,
i just got a fujitsu siemens laptop. It has wondows vista in it. im trying to connect to a wireless connection but unable to do it. infact it has already detected my livebox...but there is a red cross on the small network computer in the bottom right and when i click on it, it says windows cannot connect to livebox.
can somebody help plz

Alright shy

Theres not much that can go wrong on such a simple network so it should be quite simple to fix but I need a bit more information.

Did you set the wireless router up yourself or was it pre configured ?

Can you ping your default gateway ?

Have you enabled your laptop to accept ip addresses from the DHCP server on your router ?

If you dont have any knowledge about configuring wireless routers I will e happy to walk you through it.
