Cant connect through wireless

Hello,
please can anyone help i got a second laptop only it dont give me the option anywhere to connect to my router without useing the ethernet my daughter wants to be able to use laptop wirekess in her room , will i have to wipe it and if so wot do i sowbload for it to have the option to connect throught wireless

hi,
check if she has switched on the wireless connection.
go to control panel to see the icon there.
