Conneting an external monitor to laptop

I tried the combinations of fn + f2, f3, f4.....f10 to my laptop (HP Pavilion with Vista), none of them are working. Anybody please help me!

Hi,

Hp its Fn + F4 ,your driver is incomplete,check in device manager and give your feedback ,are there yello triangles with exclamation mark?to get in device manager open run and enter this devmgmt.msc press on ok.
