Cant open scanned doc in Ms Word for editing

Hello,

I’m having a serous problem. For some work I’ve scanned document. It needed some rectifications, but I cannot open it in Ms Word for editing. Should I type the whole document again?

please help me understand.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,

You can’t edit a scanned document. This is because it is no longer a “Word Document” but has been converted into a “Bitmap” image.
