Hello,
I think i might have taken a malware hit. my google and yahoo are broken if i click on a link it takes me to a totaly difrent web page. I also get a send error report "google installer has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have tried some regestry programs and anti-spy but they don't seem to work. some of the malware and spyware programs will not even load up. I also tried system restore but that just freezes up or does not work at all. any other suggestions please!

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 2.0.0.12

You have one nasty virus that will not allow you run delete it. You could boot from a Linux based CD and try to fix things or just give in and re-install Windows. This is a link to Trinity Rescue Disk - a tool the will give you a chance to fix Windows:
