Hey you're all wrong....
proper order of command line ATTRIB

-r -a -s -h [drive letter:]\[filename]

like this...

-r -a -s -h c:\asda

or

-r -a -s -h c:\*.*

see all in cmd.exe
type HELP

you will not know what the virus are because its too many...
unless if you knew what is the filename of viruses and their target to destroy..

Autorun.inf - automatic running the program without confirmation
it is use to run most of all the virus coming from your flash drive
with the virus program..

once the virus enter to your machine,it run and manipulate everything..
even though you delete the virus, it will back again every minute..

if you try to delete the root of virus. the risk is yours.it will affects you machine in time.

so try to protect your pc
using Deep Freeze and update your anti virus

visit faronics.com
search deep freeze
then delete the file you suspectedly the virus

virusexperts, on Jan 1, 2009 4:01:44 pm GMT

How To Manually Remove Trojan?

If you have identified the particular program that is part of the malware, and you want to remove it, please follow these steps.

1. Download and extract the Autoruns program by Sysinternals to C:\Autoruns

2. Reboot into Safe Mode so that the malware is not started when you are doing these steps. Many malware monitor the keys that allow them to start and if they notice they have been removed, will automatically replace that startup key. For this reason booting into safe mode allows us to get past that defense in most cases.

3. Navigate to the C:\Autoruns folder you created in Step 1 and double-click on autoruns.exe.

4. When the program starts, click on the Options menu and enable the following options by clicking on them. This will place a checkmark next to each of these options.

1. Include empty locations

2. Verify Code Signatures

3. Hide Signed Microsoft Entries

First find out the name of the virus, and the exact location of the virus. reboot in to safe mode with command prompt, and remove the attributes of that fine and delete it.

for example : if virus name is abcd.exe and its located in c:\windows\system32\abcd.exe
then in command prompt navigate to system32 and to check the presence of virus use command "dir/ah" this will view the hidden files, and remove the virus attributes
Ex: c:\windows\system32> attrib -s -h -r abcd.exe

c:\windows\system32> del abcd.exe

finally delete the virus itself from the drive.

next step is find out of abcd.exe is present in Startup, and in registry, this will make sure that the virus would not startup again during reboot.

Once all these are done, reboot your pc and your problem will be solved.

Regards...

Just go to start then run and type cmd the change to the directory affected e.g d: then press enter
You can type attrib to see the content in that directory. Then type D:\autorun.inf/a/s/q/f then go to taskmanager and disable the explorer under processes, then click on command prompt and press enter.

autorun.inf was just an example you can type another name for the virus
Note: For short cut just press tab to select the virus instead of typing it.

All the best.

If the code above didnt work(BY SOMEONE) Mayby the virus you have is not an autorun one and maybe a simple .bat virus set to restart each time you log on to your computer,if so this will be located in all C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
So any user logging on will have the virus .bat load load up with them, the .bat may run the make you restart or logoff

You still have a few options try opening the folder and looking for a .bat file and find its name
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"

See if any .bat files exist there? if you dont see it it may have the /h attribute so in your code you will need to make them visible so you can find the name of the virus .in or .bat, if you manage to find the name of the virus then just switch the "variable name" below to whatever the virus name is...
if so try this code as above using the .bat extention instead.

@echo off
dir
if exist "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\"Variablename.bat" goto inf
:inf
attrib autorun.inf -s -h -r -a
del "variablename.bat" (change to the virus name)
msg * autorun.bat Deleted
:end
end

good luck

I am using ms-dos commands in deleting any viruses. Please copy the code below in a text editor (notepad would be enough) and save it to anyname.bat
One of my MS_DOS Program Codes are coded below.
Note: Put the saved bat file in any drive or directory that you want to access. These batch of line of codes will display all the files inside the directory where it is present. And as it was made to do, it can delete any file or folder. For more information, Please never hesitate to e-mail me. Here is my e-mail address(algeeroidbilletdoux@rocketmail.com). Your questions will be appreciated.
Operation:
1. Copy the below codes
2. Open notepad and paste it.
3. Save the file as Anyname with a ".bat" file extension
4. Copy the bat file in any drive you wish to access.
5. Execute the file by doubleclicking it.
6. The files of the directory will be displayed
7. Press the TAB key on your keyboard to Select the file that you want to delete.
CAUTION: Any file deleted that way will never go at the RECYCLE BIN, and will never be recovered.

@ECHO OFF
