The only difference between the office 2003 and 2007 is the the layout, and the organized tools that a user can use...office 2007 is a user's friendly office productivity tool... and its performances much larger than 2003.. So it makes the difference in the saving formats too.. But i think u can open 2003 in 2007 but NOT 2007 in 2003

I have xp with office 2007. Prior to this I had Office 2003, so my documents are written in this. But 2007 will not open them. Is there a fix for this?

When you save the 2007 file select the toolbar under the bar where you type the name for the document ( it says word document at first) and click
' word 97 - 2003 document ' you can then read a 2007 document on 2003 and vice versa

Hello,
Both are possible. If you want to open Word's file or Excel's files 2003 with Word or Excel 2007, it's necessary to create a file association. And to the contrary, simply download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2007 at Microsoft website.

Download the NW Docx Converter "Docx2Rtf", it's a freeware. It can open 2007 files in open office and vice versa.

http://www.nativewinds.montana.com/software/docx2rtf.html#download

The NW Docx Converter "Docx2Rtf" is freeware. There is no charge to download it and there is no charge to use it. And at only 2MB, it takes up very little space on your hard drive and will run even on the slowest of computers.

First, go that pc where ms.soffice available by pendrive using. then open your file. after open your file, on the right side tpo the ssymble of ms.office appear like four dots in different colour. click on that and convert in to 2000, and 2003 version.
