To solve this problem
Solution below:

Regedit (start menu -> run -> type regedit)

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery

There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. Change the value to 0.

My problem solved.

Hello, I have sku011.CAB error. In registry edit I changed "2" to "0", but before that may have deleted something in "delivery" under "Office" instead of Office=> 11.0.
Do you know if that's fixable? I mean I'm just guessing as I have changed 2 to 0, but it's still same error, and before that i made tht mistake. I'll appreciate any help, as I am reallly low-tech person. thanks

Deleting applications in OFFICE 2003

asking about SKU011.cab else it don't work

A solution who work

Regedit (start menu -> run -> type regedit)

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery

There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. Change the value to 0.

This is bullshit.. there are three guys here who are serious about their problem then one guy trying to make his post look good.

When changing the value to 0, microsoft excel can no longer access the file it was looking for. To fix the problem you probably need the file "SKU011.cab" on your desktop or on a cd then locate it and install it. Its bullshit resetting value to 0, just made error 1131 occur.

PROBLEM NOT SOLVED. ASSHOLE.

G'day guys

I had some real trouble with this but eventually got MSO 2003 sorted. I initially got into trouble by opening a document I saved at work on MSO 2007 on my own laptop at home which runs MSO 2003. I had the installer pop up each time I tried to open it. Anyways, if you choose you can visit the website below and go to the installer SKU011.CAB section and follow the instructions they give.

http://www.excelyourbusiness.com.au/FormulaHelp.htm

And this to give you some help:

A) go to START click RUN type regedit then follow the steps -> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE] -> [SOFTWARE] -> [Microsoft] -> [Office] -> [11.0] -> [Delivery] -> {90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9} -> in the right hand pane you will see the [CDCache] value of 2 please change the 2 to a 0 then;

B) restart your pc then:

C) download the three CAB files mentioned in the above web link and save them to your C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9 folder. [to get to the MSOCache folder just click 'computer' and the folder will be there.

The three files you need are:

PA561401.cab
YT561401.cab
ZS561401.cab

Note for PC newbies: in oprder to access the MSOCache folder you first need to unhide it by going to TOOLS -> FOLDER OPTIONS -> VIEW -> then enable the SELECT HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS option

Good Luck

G'days again guys.

Just an update from my last post on December 14.

I should have mentioned that if you followed instructions correctly the installer will still pop up but please let it run and it should allow you to have at least access to MSO 2003 albeit it may not fix the installer pop-up problem itself.

Cheers Markus

Thanks Markus, nice easy instructions & it worked nicely. For dummies like me you might want to add to your instructions to copy the folder name "C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9 file" & place it in the destination location of the zip file extractions.

Hi,

you can try this :

In start / execute : Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery
You should have this key 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9
clik on it and (at the right of your screen), right clik on CDCache key.
and type 0 as new value
