MSOutlook 2003 'message interface error'

Hello,

I run MS Outlook 2003 and having trouble with 'the message interface has returned an unknown error.If problem persists, restart outlook'. I have tried this several times and have cleared my deleted items. I am not receiving incoming emails and cannot reply to emails without getting this error message. Any help would be most appreciated.
