Please help windows 2000 root>\system32\ntosk

Hello,
Please help I have an IBM Thinkpad 385XD
Windows 2000 NT
and I cannot restart Windows. My computer keeps leaving message "Windows 2000 could not start because of the following file is missing or corrupt:<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file." and I do not have any discs to go with my computer.

If your system files is corrupted try to use your rescue disk ,

Otherwise you will have no choice rather to make the re-installation of your whole operaitng system.

Try to get an installation Cd and repair your windows this will enable you to save your actual documents on your system.

I do not have any backup discs or any cds for windows or the operating system what so ever. Is there something I can download off this computer and save onto a cd I can use to fix my computer
