Illustrator help

Hi, guys!

Here is my problem... I still remember how to use Photoshop and make websites and the whatnot... but I've never used Illustratorçà and I really want to know how to make my own logo (and I need it to be a vector shape to be able to put it on vehicles and signs…)

So if anyone knows where to find a few simple tutorials on that please let me know!

I figure I just use the pen tool... but are there some tricks to that? In Photoshop there're little tricks I know to make things easy.... but the pen tool is certainly not my friend.

So either a brief description of how to make a vector logo OR just a link to a good tutorial would be excellent!
