Strange sound from psu

Hey ,
Recently I noticed a strange sound coming from the psu and I wanted to know if its dangerous for the motherboard or the cpu?

Are you sure that the strange sound is coming from the psu? Did you check the hdd because it may come from the hdd. If its really the psu then no worries as most psu will shut themselves down before doing damage to the motherboard or the cpu.
