My speakers will not work

Hello, My windows vista said it was installing updates 1 out of 3 and it took a long time for it to update. When it did installe my speakers no longer woirked. I have tried everything to get them working again. Please help.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8.0

Consider updating your sound drivers too, this will fix the problem.
