I have a driver that should work, I always have to install it after re-installing XP pro OS.
It works for XP SP2&3, for Vista I'm not sure.
Its 9,872K, if you have a site or email address I'll upload it......if it works do share it.

I have the same problem. I have XP professional and I've tried realtek AC97 A4.04 and the AC'97 driver from intel for my D845GRG motherboard and it still doesn't work. Anyone have what i need?

I have aopen mx46-533 mother board with built in audio and video controller vga compatible running xp pro do you have these drivers and if so please send to me thanks. To bad this world is all about money every were i find the drivers they want money for something I already paid for. the computer shop cant load the drivers in like normal people would.

Yes and I have tried to use these drivers. Another forum told me that I had to install the "Chipset: INF Update Utility for 845 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards" first....restart the computer, and then install the audio driver. I did this and still it didn't work. The audio driver for my MoBo "Audio: AC 97 ADI* " does not work. The program goes through the set-up but at the end it says "No Driver Found! Restart computer and run set-up again." (something along those lines). So I'm not sure what else to do.

You need a MS patch to recognize the onboard sound properly. I forget which KB, but it gets installed by default with SP3 - you should be able to update XP and then the driver should install.

Forget intel download site.many sound and display drivers are not avalible on intel download site.your solution is here all types of realtek drivers are here just enter your model name if you dont know about your model then enter your mainboard serial and you found here your sound driver.here the site http://tinyurl.com/aej94c.this site only contains sound drivers.here you found all types of soundcards drivers.this is one of the good drivers downloading site.hope its work.
