Cant complete windows 7 installation

Hello,
I have this problem with my PC. When installing windows 7 in my xp computer the first time it restarts when it loads windows 7 it restarts automatically or it just have a weird screen like a bunch of lines of colors and it freezes. this used to happend to my xp computer but now not. any help?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.14

Hi There Sorry to hear you are having problems.
This sounds to me like a graphics problem.
Did you do a clean installation of 7 or an upgrade.
Did you first uninstall the graphics card drivers befrore the installation
Is your graphics card on the Mboard or a stand alone card.
let me know a bit more and I will try to leave to lead you down the correct path.

I inserted the disk use comtume insrtalation the 86x then it starte to install whrn the first restart occurs and launch windows 7 it freezes and a strage sreen goes up or it just restart. But somethin weird is that when it load windows xp it works well no always but like the second or thierd time it work please help

Hi There I think from what I have learned you might have to do a clean install. Have you got a windows XP disc as well?
