Funny how HP has the drivers on their site that will work with XP... but they don't know they do... or really care... if you don't want Vista... Hope you feel comfortable opening your notebook to see who manufactures your components and downloading the driver from the manufacturer. Other wise... go buy a IBM Lenovo, they still have great XP support.

to get the sound driver you need for your dv2000, right my computer, enter manager, enter device manager, double click sound driver, go to update, mark automatic download and .its would download
