Connecting to broadband through usb

I have a laptop computer in which i have installed xp from willenium edition... i was wondering whether anyone knew of a lead or converting cable that connects to a modem through a usb port as i have no internet/ethernet port... please reply to ashalz_15@hotmail.com

It will be better to purchase the particular cable from a store.

It is easily available at computer hardware stores.
