Hello,
Whenever I sign in, it says that I have to download a newer version in order to continue. I don't want to download another messenger because number 1 I'm not allowed, number 2 it's a waste. I never had a problem like this before.

This is what the pop-up says while I'm signing in:

"A newer version is available, you must install the newer version in order to continue. Would you like to do this now?"

yes no

Then, it sends me to a link: http://get.live.com/messenger/overview

So, anyways, here are my questions:

1. How can I sign in sucessfully to MSN messenger without downloading this?
2.Which MSN is better? MSN messenger 7.5 or Windows Live Messenger? Features from both?

Configuration: Windows XP
Opera 9.80
