Hello,
i CLEANED MY COMPAQ BY BLOWING THE DUST OUT AND CHECKED MY RAM I INSTALLED COMPUTER SAID I HAD 1 RAM WHEN I INTALLED 2 RAM SO I TOOK THEM OUT AND REINSETED THEM TO MAKE SURE THEY WHER IN RIGHT WHEN I TRIED TO TURN ON THE COMPAQ COMPUTER IT GIVES ME ONE SHORT BEEP AND ONE LONG BEEP AND WONT DO ANY THING IVE TRIED UINPLUGGING THINGS AND TURNING IT BACK ON BUT THE BEEPS CONTINUE AND NOTHING WILL SHOW UP ON THE MONITOR MONITOR ACTS LIKE IT NOT EVEN PLUGGED IN WHAT I HAVE READ IT SAYS IT WOULD BE SOMETHING WITH THE MEMORY.

Hi there,

use the pc by inserting only 1 ram

then see the results

change slots if needed

it may be the one of the memory slots that is damaged
