Files hidden after windows update , ie8 updat

Hello,
I clicked "update for windows available- install ". after the installation and goining through the various prompts, my laptop restarted. it is working but a lot of my folders - subfolders are missing ? How do i retrive them ?

Hello only the microsoft support will be able to help you on this issue all you will have to do is:

Go to http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=wl_mailv2&market=en-us
Select one of the help topics displayed on the left panel.
