Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to configure my computer to launch Internet Explorer 8.0 at startup so I don't have to manually establish a connection to the internet everytime. I am running windows XP home addittion on my desktop with At&T dialup.

Thank you …Jerbo

Hello you can do this:

1) Start|Run|type Msconfig|OK|Startup tab

2) Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder

3) Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder

in the Registry at:

4) HK_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Hi, as I said the last time the only thing you need to do is to create a shortcut of IE into start up folder.

You can do it this way...
You must have internet explorer on desktop.
Press the Start button > All Programs > Start up> and here on the start up folder you have to right click and open it.
Than drag the IE icon into the folder from desktop and now you will see an IE icon in start up Folder.
Close every thing and restart the PC and you are done. Hope it will work!!..
