Hey!

Ok, so I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 running Vista. My computer has two slots for memory which were occupied by two 512 sticks. I recently installed one Kingston Technology - 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2, which brought my memory up to 2.50. Things were good, but not fast enough. So today, I installed G.SKILL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300). Well, my cpu boots up fine but my screen goes blank. I can hear programs running and my machine acts fine, it's just the screen.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

it may be that the motherboard does not support 2GB RAM.

check the motherboard manual for details.
