Same ip address for all email attachments

Hello,
hi there this may be a daft one but for some reason every email attachment i open even from different senders opens with the same ip address ,i thought that each email from different people would have a different ip addy ,should this be the case?
any help would be great im on a dsl connection with windows xp and i use hotmail .
