System Security 2009 is a fake rogue spyware program just like ANTIVIRUS 2009 or XP ANTISPYWARE 2009 or MALWARE DEFENDER 2009, it can be removed using Super antis pyware
http://darfuns.com/download-super-anti-spyware/
or MalwareBytes

Here is what I did to stop the virus from running... when the virus starts to run. Press down the Alt key then hit F4 . This shuts down any program ....then I was able to use my anti virus software. But I still am having trouble with internet explorer ... when I try to connect to any website that deals with antivirus software I can't connect them.

hope this helps you get started with the removal of the virus.

People please note that you CAN start up downloaded executables while the virus is active. Just rename the downloaded file (for instance the Malware scan software file name) to for instance "1" (that worked for me). Now System Security won't start moaning and refusing you to start the software. Once the install is finished just follow the instructions.

Damn, this virus made me so damn mad today. I also feel like finding the no-life nerd who wrote this virus and make sure he will never be able to lose his virginity.

I had the same problem as you. I found a website that fixed my issues http://www.411-spyware.com/remove-system-security-4-52#deletefiles". This women ROCKS!! I infected my work PC (really bad news)! I just did a search on "System Security" instead of "System Security 4.52" and changed the dll to dhh(junk).
then continued with the doument.

http://www.411-spyware.com/remove-system-security-4-52#deletefiles".

How Do You Remove System Security 4.52 Files?
Need help figuring out how to delete System Security 4.52 files? While there’s some risk involved, and you should only manually remove System Security 4.52 files if you’re comfortable editing your system, you’ll find it’s fairly easy to delete System Security 4.52 files in Windows.

How to delete System Security 4.52 files in Windows XP and Vista:

Click your Windows Start menu, and then click “Search.”
A speech bubble will pop up asking you, “What do you want to search for?” Click “All files and folders.”
Type a System Security 4.52 file in the search box, and select “Local Hard Drives.”
Click “Search.” Once the file is found, delete it.
How to stop System Security 4.52 processes:

Click the Start menu, select Run.
Type taskmgr.exe into the the Run command box, and click “OK.” You can also launch the Task Manager by pressing keys CTRL + Shift + ESC.
Click Processes tab, and find System Security 4.52 processes.
Once you’ve found the System Security 4.52 processes, right-click them and select “End Process” to kill System Security 4.52.

Well, guys.
I used to have this kind of problem....
For me, when I started my Computer,it would come without the start bar or anything.
and this program would pop up.

1. I hit ALT+f4 - it closed the program

2. I hit the Start Key - to load the start menu

3. I clicked run - to run something

4. I typed in explorer - and my start bar and desktop showed up

5. I went to control panel - to Uninstall

6. I uninstalled it - Then I installed Panda 2009 pro Antivirus.... and it works.

7. Im all Done and my computer works fine.

Hi-

I was on my computer when "system security" took over. it shut down my protection, and now I can find any way to get around it in order to remove it. I can not : open task manager, open my anti-virus, open my anti-spyware, the computer locks up if I try to boot up in safety mode, and the "system security" won't let me install any new programs so I can't load anything new - I can't even follow the manual removal, because I can't open the registry keys.

Is there anything I can try, or am i looking at a reformat?

Please help!

Restart your computer in safe mode then log in to administrator. there you can run your antivirus scan then remove the virus. I just did this to my friend computer and it worked. Let me know when it work for you too...
good luck...

Yep - this is definitely the easiest way to remove system security if you already have anti virus software that is up to date.

i just restarted my computer in safe mode (hit F8 when it is restarting - then choose safe mode ('with networks' will allow you to access your usb if you need to), then was able to run my anti virus/ anti spyware software.

i highly recommend you get spyhunter!! this worked in removing system security in the first instance.

good luck :)

I found this page via search at google. I'm having the same problem.

What people who day download XYZ and run it don't understand.. is that this latest version basically blocks you from starting in safe mode AND prevents application execution. If you say try to start task manager it doesn't run and pops up with a virus warning that the file is infected.

Hello,

I had the same problem, One of my kids must have accidently hit ok when the fake security message appeared the first time. Here is how I fixed it. Search for the following file. Go to start > Search and enter 11480154. when you find all the files with this number delete them and reboot. Then install and run the free version of AVG anti virus software. problem solved ................

Will system restore say... reformat the hard drive and make me lose all of my data or will it just set it to a state where I can run my anti spyware programs?

Do system restore after you run your computer in safe mode. To do this, press F8 repeatedly while your computer is booting up, then press safe mode. After that, go to start, help and support, system restore, and follow the directions after that.

I think we should find whoever made this SystemSecurity2009 virus thingy, and BEAT THE SHET OUTTA HIM!!!!
But uhm.. Yeah i just got this virus a few days ago and i cant do ANYTHING. No, litterally, i cant do a damn thing.
Control Alt Del Does Not open up taskmgr. Ctrl Shift ESC Does not open up taskmgr. I get a message saying taskmgr is infected and cannot open. If i go to a website to try to download a anti virus i 'cant' it says regsvr32 is infected. I cant even open up the System Restore, its infected.

Want to know what else is funny? I go to Start -> Search -> I search in the Local Disk section ( C:\\ )
And the computer doesnt even FIND System Security, wtf? So i try to search just 'system' and i find systems thats been in the pc since the year 2007, so i know thats not the virus. i mean wtf. Did i mention i went to Start -> Run -> taskmgr and it still could not open? And once i finially installed a anti virus but couldnt even run it bcuz the .exe got infected. So lets not even talk about Safe mode becuz the computer just crashes if i do.
Oh and PCC i also tried searching for 11480154 and nothing.

The SystemSecurity i have must be the updated one cause i cant do a damn thing.
This was the closest i came to fixing my computer ( http://www.xp-vista.com/spyware-removal/system-security-removal-info )
And with this virus, i cant do any of this.

Reformat is the 'only' option

You can fix it. It might be under another number. I found it with a different number in the startup. Go into safe mode with a comand prompt and try to delete files that have the System Security name from there. Then exit and go run msconfig and do a selective start up taking anything that has a number for the name. That is how I was able to get my friends computer running programs again. Her internet is still not working but I will download antivirus software and burn it for her and run that then. Hope this helps

Hi, it seems easy. Open task manager, kill processes started with number (as 11480154.exe or so). than go to appl. data folder (under all users) and delete folders of those number incl. all files. It should be enough..

Yes, its very easy to do it. Its just that the Virus 'wont let you do it' What you said was correct. But its just that the virus wont even let you open up taskmgr. So if i cant even open up taskmgr to delete the process then i cant go into C:\\My Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data and delete what needs to be deleted because it'll say
''Make sure the Program is not currently in use''.

But i think i finially fixed it. I just kept restarting my computer about 50 times in a row until finially i had a normal backround screen and not the virus 'warning' screen. And then i was finailly able to open up taskmgr and end the process then deleted the #'s in Application Data Folders. My numbers were 18137034 and 98147026.
And for anyone who cant find the numbers like me at first, Just right click the icon on your desktop of the System Security and click Properties. It'll show C:\\My Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\18137034.exe
After this is done, install and run all the good anti virus programs about 10times in a row just to be very sure that, that f*****g virus is gone for good! ^.^

I couldn't access task mgr or start my computer in safe mode either. A good way around this was to press ctr alt del as soon as my desktop appeared. Then wait until the system security program appeared on the applications screen (not the processes screen) and at that exact moment I ended the program. After that I was able to follow the advice in the other postings. Hope this helps.

If your computer was severly infected like my computer was the ctryl alt delete worked! So Thanks! Remember to perform use malware and spyware software after deleting the virus from the application all users folder

Thank you "Hate ss2009" This was the best advice out of this entire string. I would encourage people
to try this first. As soon as your desktop appears open your task manager (you only have a few seconds)
and go to the applications screen (not the process screen) and wait for system security to pop up.
As soon as it does you have to delete it. This shoulud let you run and or download anti-spyware software.
I had no luck doing anything else that people suggested here.

I have this virus as well. I cannot open ANY .exe files. Whether it's a game, Ctr, Alt. Delete task manager, virus software....the only .exe that works is internet explorer (which I'm sure the virus is trying to use to make my life even more miserable.). Firefox won't open, malwarebytes, adaware, spywaredoc, kasperski, I've tried everything - I can download new virus software, but the viurs won't let me run it. I can't get into dos from the command prompt, so I don't even know if I could re-format the hard drive if I wanted to. I can't get to a system restore point. I've tried renaming all applications to .app instead of .exe. That didn't work either. I'm close to buying a new computer, cause I really don't knwo what to do here. Any help? Please don't say, 'run malwarebytes'. Like I said, no .exe programs will work.

Try running on "safe mode and networking" then firefox should start hopefully, download vipre scan, and definitions, run deep scan, delete or remove all virus, then download malaware bytes antimalware run full scan, restart computer, then once again run on safe mode with networking. download vundofix tool and smitfraudfix tool and ccleaner. dont forget to turn off system restore before u do scan then when found and removed run ccleaner and then turn system restore back on ! hope it works
