Windows won't load.

Hello. I hope you guys can help. When I turn on my computer it turns on and gets as far as the windows icon that is loading. Then the screen goes black and won't go any further. It tried tapping F8 and I got the screen and chose safe mode with networking as I saw in a previous post in one of these forums. But it will only go to the black screen. Please help! I can't afford a new computer and there's stuff on this one that I need! Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I suggest you try a Linux boot disk. That's a Linux CD that you can download on another computer. It's possible that the Linux OS can read your files and copy them to a flash drive.

I suspect you have a failing hard disk that needs to be replaced anda new OS installed.
