Can i gain a stronger signal

Hello,
right bascily im trying to use my playstation 3 via the online gaming but it keeps saying the signal strength is poor.
my wireless router is down the stairs and my room is over the other side of the house so its quite a distance.

is ther any thing i can buy or put in my playstation to pick up this signal and make it stronger without moving my p.c or router?

No this isn't possible. you just have to place the router nearer to your ps3
