Attaching digital video to emails

Hello,
I cannot attach a video made with my cannon to emails. I hace tried zip-compression but the videos do not seem to get compressed.
I have tried transfering the Photo Gallary vid to a document format, the compressing it. No luck.

Any suggestions?

Can you transfer your photos to your pc then attach them like the classic way?
