Driver for a HP digital card reader

Hello,
I keep trying to use my Digital media reader for my HP Pavillion dv1000, and I can not even view it as a driver. I went to www.hp.com to download the driver update for the card reader however I keep getting a network timeout error. After trying tech support it left me nothing but frustrated, is there any other way for me to download this driver? I am running Windows XP and would really like to get this card reader working.
