Hello,

I recently purchased recovery discs for my sony VGN-B1VP, I installed the 1st disc as normal then loaded the 2nd disc, however an error message came up on my screen regarding the recovery partition. It asked me to click ok to carry on with the process which i did, the computer restarted andthe following message appeared on a blank screen, operating system cannot be found. I have noticed the 2nd disc has scratch marks on there, can it be due to that ?
Please help

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

This is usually caused by some sort of problem with your hard disk. For a list of troubleshooting procedures to address this, see KB article 321626 at

Sorry - I see you're on Vista and not XP.
