Greetings!

I need help. I would like to downgrade my HP Pavilion DV7-1020US Notebook to Windows XP Home Edition?

Or do I need to at the very least us Windows XP x64 Professional on this machine? And if I use professional, can I still connect to my peer-to-peer network machines that uses Windows XP Media Center and Home Editions?!

Also, where can I find a specific list of the various drivers I will need for this machine for Windows XP (whichever version I need to run)?

I have searched the forum, and can find nothing abotu this particular machine, and hope someone has specific answers for this particualr notebook.

THANK YOU!!

Ken L.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi,
try this link to get the drivers:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/...
this is the official website.
for the 64Bit version, you should check your processor specs.

Thanks for the link.

My concern is there are no video drivers.

Also, I have done tons of Google/Yahoo searches, even went to intel's website and I can not fidn out whether or not the Intel Core Duo P7350 (2.00 GHz) Processor, which is the processor in this machine, will function with Windows XP Home Edition. Intel's web site says something about having Intel 64 Architecture, but it doesn't say if it requires a x64 Operating System (professional) or if a x32 OS will work (Home). Anyone familar with Intel Processors who could help!

THANKS AGAIN!

Ken L.
