Hp laptop won't connect to internet

Okay, so I got a new hp laptop with windows vista yesterday, I have a wireless linksys and i connected the network. I then downloaded kapernesky antivirus and norton internet security. After that the internet would not work. what do you guys think is my problem?

You should never run two antivirus programs/products simultaneously. I would 1st remove one product and reboot your PC. If this doesn't fix your problem then it might be a firewall issue.
Norton has a firewall build in and it may be blocking your internet access.
I would check the firewall settings.
