My desktop is blank but the windows page come up with some icons

Hello,

Good day, i toiled with a setting on my system and ended up with my desktop screen blank, but my windows page with some icons. please how can i restore my desktop page with the icons back so i can work from there. thanks

I suggest you restore the laptop to a checkpoint prior to your "toiling".
