Abnormal program Termination

I have an Windows Vista. The Cs 1.6 doesn't works on Vista. first of all open Gl is not supported by Vista then when i run it on Software mode and start a new game, it says abnormal program termination. WHAT SHOULD I DO???

You can go to Right click/options/compatibility and choose Windows Me or 200 there. It will probably work.
