MY HP LAPTOP STOPS RESPONDING

Hello,
im sam and i have a hp laptop..it works just fine cept for wen it goes idle or i put it in sleep mode...the only way itll work if is i turn it off and on and i dont wanna keep doing dat =//
wats wrong? it jus stops responding
PLEASE HELP =X
